Heat breaks
The heatbreak is the part where hot and cold meet. It is usually shaped like a thin tube and made of stainless steel due to its low thermal conductivity. The goal is generally to make the transition as short as possible so that as little of the filament as possible is in a molten state. It connects the heat block to the heat sink.
