The INA219 is a really cool little device that not only measures current, but also voltage. With a little multiplication you can even measure power.
In terms of voltage you just blow past the Arduino 5 volt limitation. You can even measure up to 26 VDC with the INA219 sensor.
At +/- 3.2A the current measurement range is suitable for most smaller measurements. In other words, you can measure more than 75 watts of power.
