The Arduino UNO R3 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 chip. This version contains a separate ATmega328 chip that you can replace yourself.

Because Arduino is open source, this UNO R3 is 100% the same as the original Arduino UNO rev.3. You can use it in the same way.
