Linear active thermistor MCP9700 ICs are sensors whose output voltage is directly proportional to the measured temperature. The MCP9700 can accurately measure temperatures from -40°C to + 150°C. The output of the MCP9700 is calibrated to 10mV/°C and has an offset of 500mV (DC). The offset makes it possible to measure negative temperatures without a negative power supply.
