With this ACS712 sensor you can measure both alternating and direct current up to a maximum of 5A.
Suitable for measuring 230V mains voltage.

Connection voltage Vcc: 5V

The sensor module can measure 5A positive and negative. The output is 185mV per measured Ampere.

If no current is measured, the output is Vcc/2.
So at 5A the output will be Vcc/2 5 * 0.185 = 2.5 0.925 = 3.425V.
So at -5A the output will be Vcc/2 - 5 * 0.185 = 2.5 - 0.925 = 1.575V.

Attention! Connecting 230V voltage and measuring high current is at your own risk. Know what you are doing!
