Data Logging Shield with SD card reader and RTC - Adafruit 1141

Product information:

This is a handy Arduino shield: a well designed shield specifically for data logging. Not only easy to mount and customize, but it also comes with good documentation and libraries. (See website link.)

This allows you to get started quickly, saving data to files on any FAT16 or FAT32 formatted SD card, which you can use in any plotting, spreadsheet or analysis software. With the built-in real time clock your data is always given the current time, so you know exactly when something happened!

Attention! Delivered without Arduino or SD-card. Including the RTC battery. The headers must be soldered in the desired way.

Features:
- SD card interface works with FAT16 or FAT32 formatted SC cards. With 3.3V level switching that prevents damage to your SD card.
- Real time clock (RTC) continues to run when the Arduino is unplugged. The backup battery lasts for years.
- The handy libraries and programming examples for both the RTC and SD allow you to get started quickly.
- With space for prototyping for soldering connectors, circuits or sensors.
- With onboard 3.3V voltage regulator that provides a reliable reference voltage and is also suitable for SD cards that require a lot of power to run.
- Works with Arduino UNO, Duemilanove, Diecimila, Leonardo or ADK/Mega R3 or higher. ADK/Mega R2 or lower are not supported.
