Did you know that you can burn Arduino bootloaders onto ATmega chips, making them Arduino compatible?
Previously you needed a breadboard and a lot of jumper wires for this, but with this AVR ISP shield it becomes a lot easier!

This shield is additionally equipped with a buzzer that indicates the progress of the bootloading/programming process.

First provide your Arduino with the ISP sketch (see the documentation tab). Then you can provide the Arduino chip on the shield with a bootloader and your sketch.
